Welcome to St. Philopater Church
Nativity Feast

This is a period of rejoicing in the transformation of our nature. Contemplate on this mystical transformation, on putting off the old man and putting on the new. Commit to becoming a new nature in Christ and to beginning another journey of following in His footsteps all the way to the Cross and to His Resurrection. Pray that God may dwell with you, and rejoice in your sonship to God that was made possible through His incarnation.

Pope Tawadrous II

On the 18th of November, 2012, the Coptic Orthodox Church enthroned His Holines Pope Tawadros II as the 118th Pope of Alexanderia and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. May God Bless him.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II Consecrated our beloved church on September 13, 2014

God's children should be strong because they were created in His image and likeness (Gn 1: 26); and God is powerful.  We say about Him "Holy is the Lord God Almighty"; therefore, they should be strong like Him.

The Church reminds us of the importance of doing merciful acts during fasting. Therefore, during Great Lent we chant together praising those who have mercy on the poor. The Holy Bible teaches us that the fasting which is accepted by God is the one in which we do acts of mercy to others.
